What is the 75 Tough challenge?

75 Tough is a 75-day mental toughness program. Every day for 75 consecutive days, you complete six non-negotiable tasks. There are no rest days, no substitutions, and no grace period. If you miss any single task on any day, you restart from Day 1.

The tasks are demanding enough that you'll want to skip them. That's the point. Completing them anyway, day after day, is how the discipline gets built.

The 6 daily tasks

  • Two 45-minute workouts — one of which must be outdoors, regardless of weather. They must be separate sessions.
  • Follow a diet — you pick the diet, but no alcohol and no cheat meals for the full 75 days.
  • Drink a gallon of water — that's 3.8 liters, roughly 128 ounces, every single day.
  • Read 10 pages — non-fiction or self-improvement only. No audiobooks.
  • Take a progress photo — a daily photo to document your transformation.

Why strict mode matters

The restart rule is what makes this challenge different from a habit tracker. When you know that missing one task wipes 30 or 60 days of progress, the stakes are real. That pressure is what builds discipline — you learn to show up on days when you don't feel like it.

Research from the European Journal of Social Psychology shows it takes an average of 66 days for a behavior to become automatic. At 75 days, you're past that threshold. The habits you build here tend to stick.

75 Tough vs 75 Soft

Not everyone needs the all-or-nothing approach. 75 Soft is a forgiving alternative: one workout per day, a flexible diet, and no restart penalty for missed days. Same 75-day commitment, less pressure. Read the full comparison.

Frequently asked questions

What is 75 Tough?

75 Tough is a 75-day strict challenge with six daily tasks: two workouts (one outdoors), a clean diet, a gallon of water, 10 pages of reading, and a progress photo. Miss a single day and you start over from Day 1.

What happens if I miss a day?

In strict mode, missing any day means a full restart. There are no exceptions. This tracker enforces that rule automatically — if you skip a day, you'll be prompted to start over.

Do both workouts need to be 45 minutes?

Yes. Two separate 45-minute workouts each day, and at least one must be outdoors regardless of weather. They must be separate sessions — you can't combine them into a single 90-minute workout.

Can I drink alcohol during the challenge?

No. Alcohol is not allowed at any point during the 75 days, no matter what diet you follow. This is one of the non-negotiable rules.

Is my progress saved?

Yes. Your progress is saved in your browser's local storage. As long as you use the same browser on the same device, your data persists between visits. No account needed.

What's the difference between 75 Tough and 75 Soft?

75 Tough is the strict version — six daily tasks with a restart penalty for missed days. 75 Soft is more forgiving: five tasks, no outdoor workout requirement, and no restart if you miss a day.

Is there an app for more detailed tracking?

Yes — Reset75 gives you daily checklists, progress photos, timelapse videos, streak tracking, and detailed statistics. Free to download, no account required.

Can I track multiple challenges at once?

Each tracker on this site saves its own progress independently. You could run a 75 Tough and a 30-Day Kickstart simultaneously. For full multi-challenge support, use the Reset75 app.
